Muscle Machines Original 1:64 Collection

Ok, I am very new to the forum thing - very 1st time-, but this looks like the place to start.
My nephew graduated hi-school in June, and since I do a little ebay, craigs, shows etc., (mostly in glass and silver) he showed me what his god father had given him when he was little.  GF was a grocery worker, paid every Friday and from 2000 to 2004 (with no pattern) purchase 1 1:64 Die Cast Muscle Car, some Boulevards, Gassers etc and my sister then put them directly into a huge tote that wasn't even opened from mid 2004 until June of 2012 when he brough them to me and said "Im broke can you sell them for me?"  I did quick research and sold some easy ones (vettes & cameros) at a car show.

Now that I have taken the time, I have most of the "misfits" like Dodge Hemi Darks etc, and I know that someone would really appreciate having them in their collection.

I don't know how to connect to the people who want these, and I am not attempting this to "hard sell" to...

1/64 collection up for sale

I have been debating on selling my 1/64 collection for some time now.  New interests have come up and the room and money are needed to complete the purchase and restoration of a car that has finally come up for sale (Austin Healey 3000).  All of my collections of others will go also, but first this collection.  I have been collecting Muscle Machines since they have come out and have all 1/64 for sale, (FEP's and the built-it 1/64 cars are sold).  I have 5-packs, error cars, variation cars, UK cars, and limited addition cars as well as the Thank-you car.  I have some posters and catalogs that will go with the collection as well as notebooks I made up with the cars as they came out.  Some where over 1000 different cars.  Most are now impossible to collect unless from a collection.  I would like $4,500.00 for the collection.   Email if you have questions. 32 Highboy, slightly modified

I just finished this 32. It was gong to be black but then I tried a red body on the completed chassis and that changed that plan. Check out the Jag rear end, tonneau cover, front tires and those pipes. I am really digging this one because it reminds me of the 32 Highboy I built many years ago.

Now I can get to work on my second 57 Chevy Nomad ......

57 Nomad #2

I finally finished this Nomad and a 40 Sedan Delivery. I'll post the 40 in another thread.

I couldn't get the notion of painting my first 57 Nomad candy red so I built another one. This one is more cool looking I think. I really spent a lot of time fitting the 55 Nomad top to the 57 body. It really fit just right and required only a little bondo. I like the low stance too. I cut down the motor and added the blower scoop from a "whole motor" car, a 33 black widow to be exact so the scoop is tinted black. Check the clearance at the bottom of the front bumper... I cut 3/16" off of the bumper. I have always thought the front bumpers on the MM 57's are to bulky... I like the rocker molding's opening for the pipes filled...

40 Sedan Delivery just finished

To make good use of $28.00 worth of 2 part ultra gloss clear I took apart 4 other cars and painted them along with the 57 Nomad. The color on this 40 is not to far off of the 5th anniversary 69 Chevelle, just a little darker. Being a translucent candy color it took multiple coats to get it to the shade I liked. It was very difficult to get it even in the many peaks and valleys between the fenders / hood and body. It isn't perfect but the color is a real stunner in the sun. The 5th anniversary tinted wheels are a must.

69 Chevelle just finished

This is one of 4 cars that I stripped and painted when I was preparing to clear coat my red 57 Chevy Nomad. It started as a red NASCAR #8. It is the first time I used this candy blue and it really hits home for me. There is not a lot of custom work other than the candy paint and other detail painting. Oh yea, the motor and wheels too. The stripes are similar to those on a 70 Chevelle and were never offered from the factory in 69 but I like the look.

Muscle Machines UK cars are certain 5-packs cars sent the the United Kingdom, individually with back cards and plastic blisters to be put together there.  They were randomly assembled.  Here are some if not all produced.  You could only get them from the UK.  Also random blistered cars from the regular series here were blistered with different back cards.  There are many made.  There was a special marking on the back to tell you the difference.  Dale

Need an exhaust pipe

Hey fellow Muscle Machineheads....
I have a beautiful 1/18 scale Black With Flames Willys build it kit here that came out of the box missing the right side (passenger) exhaust pipe! I know a lot of you guys "slam" your Muscle Machines and remove the exhaust pipes in the process. So....anyone got an extra right side pipe lying around that isn't being used and could be put to good use?

69 Camaro, 32 roadster

These are the other 2 of the 4 cars I stripped and painted so I could use all the clear I mixed for my 57 Nomad. The Camaro is a disappointment. The paint has fish eye that developed days later and chunks of who knows what. I like the color but not on the Camaro. The last picture really looks worse than it is though.... It's going on the bottom shelf and will probably get redone someday. The 32 is a mild makeover from stock. I might paint the engine later...

All I can say is if I had the job with the New Muscle Machines . . .
 You would have been informed on the 13th hour of the 13th day of Muscle Machines 13th Year what was coming !
My 5 new castings would have been :
1958 CADILLAC HEARSE  (FLAMED)
1954 CHEVY SEDAN DELIVERY (GASSER)
1968 BARRACUDA (FASTBACK)
1951 FORD P.U. (CHOPTOP)
1969 BUICK G/S 400 (CONVERTIBLE) = w/ top up

I'd be telling you about how we'd be doing a 13th Annversary set before the end of the year ... something with special Black artwork, and with Skulls, Webs & a Wicked 13 logo on it.  For next year I could tell you to be looking for FAT FENDERS, & a Roadster or two !  We'd be selling cars at Target, & Auto-Zone once again along with our own on-line store to sell limited edition cars to Our Beloved Collector's ! 

Can I have a job at Maisto please ? Will Work For Muscle Machines Loco
